MEN, don’t skip this post because the topic is about women. Sing this or Read it over your wife and daughters, to your nieces and daughter-in-laws, read it over your mother, your granddaughters, your grandmother!**

When we live in a world that says something different than Proverbs 31: 10-31 about who we are, it’s a freaking lie!!! I’ve been told that I’m not attractive because of the build of my body. I’ve been told that I’m not appealing to men because I’m too masculine. I’ve been told I’m not someone’s type because I’m too outspoken. All of these comments have caused me to search internally for the “woman” in me and for some reason, I could never find “her”. I condemned myself for being a “big girl”, bold and not girly enough. Then, last night, i had this scripture read over me. It wasn’t a proclamation of who I am to become, it is a declaration of who I am. I unswervingly stand and rejoice in the fact that I am a woman who fears the Lord. Although the world values a “charming” woman, who is quiet when opposition rears its head or “submits” to the hierarchy of men, I do not and am NOT, that woman. I am a woman who honors men and one day will mutually submit to my husband out of love and respect. The world defines beauty in numbers, size and sexuality, but I will NOT be mastered or defined by any of those things. I am a woman who’s beauty is found in the Father, I am created in His image of glory and radiance, beauty is the essence of who I am, not what I look like. My beauty is eternal, not obsolete. I will forever sing this specific scripture over myself, the entire chapter actually. You should consider doing the same, because what this chapter holds true for me, is definitely true for you.

I declare in Jesus’ name that my husband and son will read this over me one day. As a mother, I will most definitely be reading this over my daughters and teaching my young men to cherish their wives in this way.
It is so important to remember who we are as women! It is also important to remember that we bring honor to the Father in this way and to the man that He has given to us to love and walk with.
